Master Classes and Theatre Trips

At The National Ballet Studio we believe in the benefits of drawing from the experiences of as many different dance experts and professionals as possible. Which is why we provide our students with regular workshops, master classes and theatre trips.  We believe in allowing students to be exposed to as many different dance forms as we can offer them to create a versatile and well-rounded performer.

In 2013/14 we ran workshops for Belly Dancing, Musical Theatre, Irish Dancing , Bollywood and Flamenco. We had master class with David Moore, Principal dancer from Stuttgart Ballet and we had regular guest teachers including William Moore, Hayley Doyle and Ali from Off The Hook. We also ran trips to see live dance performances, where on many occasions we got to meet the cast.

Our most exciting trip to date was meeting world renowned ex principal of The Royal Ballet Miss Darcey Bussell.

For 2014/15 we are delighted to welcome back David Moore. In November we will be making our annual trip to see the Sharmilla Dance Gala, as well as several other exciting performances throughout the year including Moscow City Ballet, Stuttgart Ballet and The Russian Ballet Stars.

Keep posted to our facebook page for more information regarding our upcoming work shops which will start in mid October.

Workshops and Theatre Trips

At The National Ballet Studio we will be constantly trying to provide our students with as many experiences as possible as we are keen to provide a broad dance education for our pupils. This means whenever we see an opportunity to arrange theatre trips and workshops with professionals we will do so.

This year we were extremely privileged to welcome Alicia Amatriain Principal dancer with Stuttgart Ballet Germany, who taught our senior students in a 90 minute masterclass.

Miss Amatriain set a traditional ballet class starting at the barre and progressing to centre work. She gave the students a valuable insight into techniques and corrections to help the students achieve their potential. The students were very impressed at seeing her flawless technique up close which they found inspiring. Needless to say they learnt a huge amount.
